(THE "COLLECTION" WAS FOR "THE SAINTS" [NOT PREACHERS OR THEIR CHURCH BUILDINGS])
 
1Corinthians 16:1 Now concerning the collection FOR THE SAINTS, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
 

(4) THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE "GIVING TO YOU", NOT VICE-VERSA)
 
2Corinthians 12:14 ...I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not your's but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

 
(5) THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO USE "THEIR OWN MONEY" FIRST [before they ask for yours]
 
2Co 12:15 And I will very gladly SPEND and BE SPENT for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

 
(6) THEY ARE "SUPPOSED" TO BE TEACHING YOU HOW TO HEAR GOD'S VOICE AND DO HIS WILL
 
2Co 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would RECIEVE THE GIFT, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
2Co 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first GAVE THEIR OWN SELVES to the Lord, and unto us BY THE WILL OF GOD.
 

(7) THEY ARE "SUPPOSED" TO BE TEACHING CHRIST'S BODY IS "THE TEMPLE"
            
1Co 3:16 Know ye not that YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
 
1Pe 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
 
Heb 3:6  But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
 
2Co 5:1  For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [THE "HOUSE OF GOD" IS NOT MADE WITH HANDS]
 

(8) THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE TELLING YOU TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY'S FINANCIAL NEEDS FIRST
 
Mat 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
Mat 15:5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;]

(9) THEY ARE "SUPPOSED" TO BE TEACHING THERE IS NO "TEMPLE" IN THE "BRIDE OF CHRIST"
 
Rev 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:9  And there came unto me one of the seven angels.. and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Rev 21:22  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

 
EVIDENCE OF APOSTACY AND DAMNATION

(10) THOSE WHO "ASK FOR MONEY" ARE CALLED "FALSE APOSTLES" AND "DECIETFUL WORKERS"!!!!
 
2Co 11:9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.
2Co 11:12 But what I do, that I will do, THAT I MAY CUT OFF OCCASION from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. 2Co 11:13 For SUCH ARE FALSE APOSTLES, DECIETFUL WORKERS, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

 
(11) THEY ARE "COVETOUS" AND ARE HEADED FOR "DAMNATION"
 
2Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words MAKE MERCHANDISE OF YOU: whose JUDGMENT now of a long time lingereth not, and THEIR DAMNATION slumbereth not.
 

(12) THESE MEN STEAL MONEY THROUGH FALSE "OFFERINGS AND TITHES" AND "ROB GOD" AND ARE "CURSED"
 
Mal 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Mal 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

In the New Testament, when the "Temple" in Jerusalem was going to be "discontinued", the "offerings" were "collected" for "the saints",(who were called "the Temple"). Stealing "collections" which were intended to go to "the saints", was now how this text was fulfilled. (Taking money away from "the saints" for self-enrichment, and for building lavish "Churches", is "robbing from God")

 
(13) THEY ARE "WICKED STEWARDS" WHO "DIG IN THE EARTH" & "HIDE" GOD'S MONEY

[BUILD RELIGIOUS BUILDINGS]

Mat 25:18  But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Mat 25:25  And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

(14) THEY ARE GOING TO BE "CAST INTO OUTER DARKNESS" WITH "WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH"
 
[cont] Mat 25:30  And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

 
(15) ASKING FOR MONEY, CHARGING [OR EVEN TAKING MONEY] FOR SPIRITUAL THINGS CAUSES DAMNATION
 
Act 8:18  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
Act 8:19  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
Act 8:20  But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
Act 8:21  Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

 
(16) THEY ARE "CURSED" WITH A "CURSE"
 
Mal 3:8 Will a man rob God? YET YOU HAVE ROBBED ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Mal 3:9 YE ARE CURSED WITH A CURSE: FOR YE HAVE ROBBED ME, even this whole nation.

 
(17) SOMEONE SHOULD "SHUT THEIR DOORS"
 
Mal 1:10 WHO IS THERE EVEN AMONG YOU THAT WOULD SHUT THE DOORS fornought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

 
(18) THEY CAUSE PEOPLE TO TRUST IN "LYING WORDS"
 
Jer 7:4 TRUST YE NOT IN LYING WORDS, saying, The TEMPLE of the LORD, The TEMPLE of the LORD, The TEMPLE of the LORD, ARE THESE.
Jer 7:8 Behold, YE TRUST IN LYING WORDS, that cannot profit.
Jer 7:11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become A DEN OF ROBBERS in your eyes? Behold, even I HAVE SEEN IT, saith the LORD.

 
(19) THEY ARE UNDER THE "JUDGEMENT OF GOD"
 
[cont] Jer 7:20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be POURED OUT UPON THIS PLACE, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and IT SHALL BURN, and shall NOT BE QUENCHED.

 
(20) THEY MAKE THE "WORD OF GOD OF NO EFFECT" THROUGH THEIR "TRADITIONS"

(21) THEY ARE HYPOCRITES WHO GIVE "LIP SERVICE" TO GOD AND THE BIBLE, BUT REALLY ONLY TEACH THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.
 
Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the  commandments of men.
 

(22) THEY ARE HYPOCRITES WHO HAVE [CONSTRUCTION] BEAMS IN THEIR EYES
 
Luk 6:42  Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

 
(23) THEY HAVE "GONE THE WAY OF CAIN" WHO "TILL THE EARTH" [DIG EARTH] RATHER THAN "TEND THE SHEEP"
 
Jud 1:11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
 
Gen 4:2  And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

 
(24) THEY ARE "THE BLIND" LEADING "THE BLIND" AND THEY WILL BOTH FALL INTO THEIR "OWN DITCH" [UNFAITHFUL STEWARD WHO DIGS EARTH]
 
Luk 6:39  And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

(A "ditch" is a place where the "earth" has been "dug out" and removed)

 
(25) THEY "ENSLAVE" GOD'S PEOPLE TO "MAKING BRICKS"
 
Exo 1:14  And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service,
 

(26) THEY ARE BUILDING "TOWERS TO HEAVEN" TO "MAKE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES"
 
Gen 11:3  And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
Gen 11:4  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name

(27) THEY "PROSTITUTE" THE "THINGS OF GOD" BUYING AND SELLING THEM FOR "MONEY" [MAKING THEMSELVES RICH]
 
Rev 17:1  And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Rev 18:3  For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

 
(28)  GOD CALLS HIS PEOPLE "OUT" OF THE TOWERS OF BABEL [BECAUSE IT IS A "HOUSE OF DEMONS"]
 
Rev 18:2  And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

 
(30) THEIR "TRADITION" WAS BEGUN BY POPE SIX III (666) [432-440 AD]
 
Rev 13:18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

(31) [QUOTING] "THE LAW" ON "TITHES" AND "TEMPLES", PLACES YOU UNDER "THE WHOLE LAW" [AND IT'S CURSE]
 
Jam 2:10  For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

These same "preachers" will claim anything "Jewish" (such as "passover" despite being commanded by Christ) is "keeping the law".  Yet they have no problem calling on "tithes" (a practice from "the law") to award themselves weekly payments of "money".

 
(32) PREACHERS WHO QUOTE "THE LAW" TO SOLICITE "TITHES" ARE "FALLEN" [APOSTATE] FROM "GRACE"
 
Gal 5:4  Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Gal 5:8  This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

 
(33) THEY ARE THE "BUILDERS" WHO HAVE "REJECTED" THE "STONE"
 
1Pe 2:7  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

 
(34) THEY TEACH AN "IGNORANT WORSHIP" GOD "COMMANDS" YOU TO REPENT FROM
 
Act 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Act 17:30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

 
(35) THEY "REFUSE" BECAUSE THEY ARE "STIFFNECKED" AND "REBELLIOUS" AND "RESIST THE HOLY SPIRIT"

(36) PREACHERS WHO "GO BACK TO THE TEMPLE" UNDER THE "LAW", HAVE "TRODDEN UNDER FOOT" THE SON OF GOD
 
Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

 
(37) "CHRIST" DOES NOT "ENTER" THEIR BUILDINGS "MADE WITH HUMAN HANDS"

(38) CLAIMING "CHRIST'S PRESENCE" IS IN THEIR "SANCTUARY" IS THE SIGN OF A 'FALSE CHRIST"

ROBERTSON'S WORD STUDIES -
 
Masters (kathe¯ge¯tai). This word occurs here only in the N.T. It is found in the papyri for teacher (Latin, doctor). It is the modern Greek word for "professor". “While didaskalos represents Rab, kathe¯ge¯tes stands for the more honourable Rabban,  ?bo¯n” (McNeile). Dalman (Words of Jesus, p. 340) suggests that the same Aramaic word may be translated by either didaskalos or kathe¯ge¯tes.

 
(74) PREACHERS WHO REFUSE TO OBEY CHRIST ARE LIARS AND HAVE "NO TRUTH"

Mat 6:24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

(79) SOMEDAY PEOPLE WILL NO LONGER "BUY" THEIR "MERCHANDISE"
 
2Pe 2:3  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Rev 18:11  And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

 
(80) CHRIST WILL "BEAT" THOSE WHO MAKE HIS HOUSE A HOUSE OF "MERCHANDISE"

(81) CHRIST SAID "HIS BODY" WAS THE "TEMPLE", NOT RELIGIOUS BUIDLINGS

(82) "MECHANDISING" RELIGION CAUSES GOD'S JUDGEMENT AND IS ASSOCIATED WITH "SATAN"
 
Eze 28:16  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

 
(83) A PREACHER'S "LOVE OF MONEY" IS THE "ROOT OF ALL EVIL" AND CAUSES HIM TO "ERR FROM THE FAITH"
 
1Ti 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

 
(84) THESE PREACHER'S ARE "BRUTE BEASTS" WHO PREACH FOR MONEY AND DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT
 
Jud 1:10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Jud 1:11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

 
(85) THESE PREACHERS SPEAK "SWELLING WORDS" [SERMONS] BUT "WALK AFTER THEIR OWN LUSTS"
 
Jud 1:16  These are ..walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
 

(86) THEIR FINANCIAL ABUSES HAVE CAUSED THEM TO "FORGET THE LORD" AND THEY ARE "RELIGIOUS EXTORTIONISTS"
 
Eze 22:12  In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.

 
(87) THEIR "OFFERINGS" TO "GREED AND COVETOUSNESS" ARE AN "ABOMINATION" TO GOD
 
Pro 21:26  He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
Pro 21:27  The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination:

 
(88) THESE GREEDY RELIGIOUS LEADERS CAUSE "OPPRESSION"
 
Mic 2:2  And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
Pro 28:16  The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

 
(89) GOD'S TRUE "RULERS" HATE "COVETOUSNESS"
 
Exo 18:21  Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers

 
(90) "COVETOUSNESS" IN RELIGIOUS LEADERS CAUSES THEM TO "TEACH LIES"
 
Jer 6:13  For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
Jer 8:10  Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

 
(91)  CONSULTING "PREACHERS" WHO "COVET" BRINGS SHAME ON A NATION
 
Hab 2:9  Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
Hab 2:10  Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

 
(92) THEY IGNORE CHRIST'S WARNING CONCERNING "COVETOUSNESS"

(93) A PREACHER WHO "COVETS" IS NO DIFFERENT THAN A WORSHIPPER OF IDOLS
 
Col 3:5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

 
(94) THEY "CLOKE" THEIR "COVETOUSNESS" IN "FLATTERING WORDS"
 
1Th 2:5  For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:

(95) "COVETOUSNESS" SHOULD NOT EVEN BE A PART OF SOMEONE'S CONVERSATION, MUCH LESS THEIR SERMONS
 
Heb 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

(96) "COVETOUSNESS" IS THE "ROOT" OF "SPIRITUAL BABELISM" [MYSTERY BABYLON]
 
Jer 51:12  Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
Jer 51:13  O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.

 
(97) WHICH GOD WILL PUNISH "SPIRITUAL BABELISM" [MYSTERY BABYLON] WITH EVERLASTING FIRE
 
Rev 18:15  The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
Rev 18:17  For in one hour so great riches is come to nought.
Rev 18:18  And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning,...

(98) FOLLOWING FALSE RELGIOUS LEADERS MOTIVATED BY COVETOUSNESS IS DANGEROUS
 
Rev 19:20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Rev 20:10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

 
(99) THEIR FALSE GROUPS AND MOVEMENTS 'CLAIM" TO BE THE "BRIDE OF CHRIST" BUT ARE NOT
 
Rev 18:7  How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Rev 18:8  Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

 
(100) THERE IS "NO TEMPLE" IN THE "BRIDE OF CHRIST"
 
Rev 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:9  And there came unto me one of the seven angels.. and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Rev 21:22  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

 
THEY CLAIM TO "COME IN CHRIST'S NAME" BUT SIMPLY DECIEVE THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE - THEY "GATHER" AT THE "CARCASS" [A TEMPLE]
 
Mat 24:1  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Mat 24:2  And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Mat 24:5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ[ian]; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:23  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:26  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the [SANCTUARIES]; believe it not.
Mat 24:27  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the [PRESENCE] of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28  For wheresoever the carcase [TEMPLE] is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
 
            Prebytarian Church Bulletin:
            "We welcome you to God's house today. We hope you will find
            friendliness, reverence, and Christ's presence in our santuary. If
            you must whisper, whisper a prayer".
 
            Baptist Church Bulletin:
            "The Rose window, when lighted at night, is simply magnificient in
            it's beauty. Last week a mother drove by with her preschooler. Upon
            seeing the window, her child said;"Oh, LOOK! Mother, The Church is
            not even finished yet, and Jesus has already moved in!"

Mat 24:23  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

1 reason should enough not to "tithe" to a "preacher".  Now you have 100 x 1.  If you do now... even after seeing the "truth" of what the Bible really teaches about this subject... at least realize, whatever "blessing" you do manage get for doing it, will be coming from the 'preacher" [or whatever "spirit" that is in him] you  gave that money to, not from God who told you not to do it.
