THE CHRISTMAS LIE: It's Bigger Than You Think

B I B L E    S T U D Y

TITLE:                                 THE BIBLICAL ORIGIN OF "MYSTERY BABYLON"

OVERVIEW:

The use of the phrase "Mystery Babylon" occurs only 1 time in the Bible, in the book of Revelation.  Since it's use appears to be isolated to this one use, and what it refers to is shrouded in "symbolism" in Revelation, many Christians have randomly applied this term to anything that seems to be corrupt, or that they personally do not like, that seems "big" or "powerful" or "wealthy". But the concept has a "history" throughout the Bible, and refers to something that is very "specific" and "unmistakable" and very "literal" (or real).  It is not simply a "generic" empty "symbol" that can be used to refer to "anything". In fact, those using the term this way, might be in the very "middle" of what John was referring to (and it wasn't a "country"). It was something "religious". The term had to do with the practice of "religion" after the manner of "Babylon". It was called "Mystery Babylon" because it was (and still is to this day), kept as "a mystery"(a secret), (hidden). But it is very much literally present and "accounted" for.  And the people involved in literally perpetuating it, really do know, that is precisely what it is. It is no "mystery" to them, just those who are not "initiates" of it.

Matthew 23:34,35

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Revelation 17:5 ,6

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.   And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

The first reference was made by Christ directed toward rabbinical Jews in Judea.  The second reference was made by John directed at the Roman empire (which he makes clear in verses 9 and 18).  Two very different settings and two very different targets (or so it would seem to the casual reader). In fact, Christ and John were both referring to the same one thing (in two different places among two different peoples). What was it they were referring to, and how could this be?  Find out below.

THE BEGINNING OF THE "CALLED OUT" ONES

"MYSTERY BABYLON"

(SPIRITUAL BABELISM)

ABRAHAM WAS "CALLED OUT"

Gen 12:1  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
Gen 12:2  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Gen 12:3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Gen 12:4  So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

What was "Abraham" being "called out" of?

THE "MYSTERY" OF "BABYLON"

(ACCORDING TO THE BABYLONIANS THEMSELVES)

"Let them make their land SHINE by building TEMPLES for THEMSELVES"

"As for US, by as many a name as we have called, he shall be our God" (Ba'al")

"Let the wise teach THE MYSTERY to the wise"

3[11]:3 The tower, which thou seest building, is myself, the Church, which was seen of thee both now and aforetime. Ask, therefore, what thou willest concerning the tower, and I will reveal it unto thee, that thou mayest rejoice with the saints."

- The Shepherd of Hermes

Written by the brother of the Pope of Rome

"...the Legend ascribes the origin of Masonry to the era of the building of the tower.  Nimrod is made the first Grand Master and makes the first charge- that is, frames the first Constitution that the Masons ever had. From Babylon, Masonry was carried next into Egypt."  End Quote,

PART 1 - THE "BA'MAH HOUSE"

(TRANSLATED "THE HIGH PLACE" IN KJV)

Ezekiel 20:29

Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.

INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF WORSHIP

Deu 12:2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

Deu 12:13-14 Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest: But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

WHERE MOSES COMMANDED WORSHIP TO BE DONE

ON PASSOVER

Exo_12:22  And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

ON SABBATH

Exo_16:29  See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

NOTE: "Sabbath" was not given as a "Day of corporate worship". It was a "day of rest" (to be spent, AT HOME, with God)

"Travel" was not to be done on "The Sabbath" unless absolutely medically necessary.

No "other" "religious building" was "authorized" other than the Temple on "Mount Zion" (Deu 12:13-14)

WHAT A "HIGH PLACE" REALLY WAS (A BA'MAH HOUSE)

Lev_26:30  And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

Num_21:28  For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords* of the high places of Arnon.

the lords* ַּעַל, ba‛al, Pronounced: bah'-al, a master; hence a husband, or (figuratively) owner

NOTE: During the Greek empire, the mounted or elevated area, these “temples” were typically built on, came to be colloquially referenced by the term “Acropolis”. The “trees” surrounding them, were also referenced in Hebrew by the term “אֲשֵׁרָה” ('ăshêrâh translated as “Grove”).  Referenced by the Greeks as “the Academy”, after “Academus” a Greek hero, associated with “the grove”.

"BA'MAH WORSHIP" WAS INSPIRED BY, AND FOCUSED ON, "BA'AL"

THE "HOUSES OF BA'AL" (SUN-WORSHIP)

Num 22:41  And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of *Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.

*Baal ַּעַל, ba‛al, Pronounced: bah'-al, a master; hence a husband, or (figuratively) owner

BAAL:  In Babylonia it was the title specially applied to Merodach of Babylon, which in time came to be used in place of his actual name. As the word in Hebrew also means “possessor,” it has been supposed to have originally signified, when used in a religious sense, the god of a particular piece of land or soil. …the sense of “possessor” is derived from that of “lord.” The Babylonian Bel-Merodach was a Sun-god, and so too was the Can Baal whose full title was Baal-Shemaim, “lord of heaven.” The Phoenician writer Sanchuniathon (Philo Byblius, Fragmenta II) accordingly says that the children of the first generation of mankind “in time of drought stretched forth their hands to heaven toward the sun; for they regarded him as the sole Lord of heaven, and called him Beel-samēn, which means 'Lord of Heaven' in the Phoenician language and is equivalent to Zeus in Greek” Baal-Shemaim had a temple at Umm el-Awamid between Acre and Tyre, and his name is found in inscriptions from the Phoenician colonies of Sardinia and Carthage. International Standard Bible Dictionary

THIS ENTITY WAS REFERRED TO AS "SATAN" IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

Rev_2:13  I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

בָּמָה     bâmâh, (Singular) Pronounced:  ba-maw'

From an unused root (meaning to be high); an elevation: - height, high place, wave.  (Plural form) Pronounced: ba-mot'

JEWS TURNED TO "BA'MAH HOUSES" BECAUSE THERE WAS NO "TEMPLE"

1Ki_3:2  Only the people sacrificed in (ba’mot), because there was no house built unto the name of the LORD, until those days.

SOLOMON CONTINUED TO WORSHIP IN THEM

1Ki_3:3  And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in (ba’mot).

NOTE: “Solomon’s Temple” is said to be the source of “The Legend of the Craft” among the Masons. And the “Seal of Solomon” an esoteric symbol from his history.  But there was no such seal attached to the Jewish temple, and the design has been found in pagan “temples” (i.e., ba’mot) pre-dating Solomon by millennia.

The connection between this design and the “ba’mah” house, will be pointed out specifically by 2 prophets, from 2 different time periods separated by centuries,  1 from the Old Testament, and 1 from the New Testament. (Two witnesses) Deu_17:6; Deu_19:15

THE "PRIESTS" OF THE "BA'MAH HOUSES"

1Ki_12:31  And he made an house of  (ba’mot), and made priests of the lowest* of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.

Total KJV occurrences: 36

H7097 = קֵצֶה    קָצֶה, qâtseh    qêtseh, Pronounced: kaw-tseh', kay-tseh'

The second form is negative only; from H7096; an extremity (used in a great variety of applications and idioms; compare H7093): -    X after, border, brim, brink, edge, end, [in-] finite, frontier, outmost coast, quarter, shore, (out-) side, X some, ut (-ter-) most (part).

Total KJV occurrences: 97

2Ki 12:2  And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

2Ki 12:3  But the high places (ba’mot) were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high (ba’mah) places.

KING "JEROBOAM" CONTINUED THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

1Ki_12:32  And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places (ba’mot) which he had made.

KING "AMSAZIAH" CONTINUED THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

2Ki 14:1  In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

KING "ASA" CONTINUED THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

1Ki_15:14  But the high places (ba’mot) were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.

1Ki_22:43  And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places (ba’mot) were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places (ba’mot).

KING "AZARIAH" CONTINUED THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

2Ki 15:1  In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2Ki 15:2  Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

2Ki 15:3  And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

2Ki 15:4  Save that the high places (ba’mot) were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high (ba’mah) places.

RESIDENTS OF ISRAEL "CONTINUED" THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

2Ki 15:1  In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2Ki 15:2  Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

2Ki 15:3  And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

"SAMARITANS" SPREAD "BA'MAH" HOUSES

2Ki 17:29  Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places (ba’mot) which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.

KING "MANASAH" CONTINUED "BA'MAH" HOUSES

2Ch 33:1  Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:

2Ch 33:2  But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

2Ch 33:13  And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.

KING "MANASAH" REFORMED THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

2Ch 33:15  And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.

2Ch 33:16  And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.

2Ch 33:17  Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places (ba’mot), yet unto the LORD their God only.

QUESTION: The SCRIPTURES record, that the (Ba’mah houses) [Hebrew: “Beth Ba’mah”] in Israel, and it’s “Non-Levitical” (monarchal ordained) clergy, never fully came to an end. There were only "reformed", meaning they were "dedicated to YHVH", and their "idols" were taken out.

So….. where did they go, and what became of them?

PART 2 - THE SYNAGOGUE

THERE WAS A "DISAGREEMENT" ABOUT WHERE "JEWISH WORSHIP" SHOULD OCCUR

WORSHIP ACCORDING TO "RABBINICAL" SOURCES

Act_13:42  And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

Act_14:1  And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

Act_17:1  Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

Act_17:10  And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

Act_17:17  Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

Act_18:4  And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

WORSHIP ACCORDING TO "APOSTOLIC" SOURCES

Act_8:3  As for Saul, he made havock of the ecclesia, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Rom_16:5  Likewise greet the ecclesia that is in their house. Salute my well beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

1Co_16:19  The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the ecclesia that is in their house.

Col_4:15  Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the ecclesia which is in his house.

"SYNAGOGUE" OR "ECCLESIA" (TWO GREEK WORDS)

From the Greek word: συναγωγή

sunagōgē, Pronounced “soon-ag-o-gay'”

From (the reduplicated form of) G4863; an assemblage of persons; specifically a Jewish “synagogue” (the meeting or the place); by analogy a Christian church: - assembly, congregation, synagogue.

Total occurrences: 57

ekklēsia, pronounced: ek-klay-see'-ah,

From a compound of "ἐκ" (out of) and a derivative of "κλησία" (to call); a calling out, properly: "the called out ones".  From the Hebrew word קרא Qârâ' , kara (pron. kaw-raw') - A primitive root word through the idea of accosting a person met; to call out to.

First usage of “ἐκκλησία” in Greek LXX-

"REQUIREMENTS" FOR AN "ANCIENT SYNAGOGUE"

QUOTE: "The site on which the Synagogue is to be built, according to the Tosefta (Meg. 4:23) and codified by the posekim (Sh. Ar., OH 150:2), should be the highest spot in the city and the synagogue should also be the highest building. Jews have been unable to comply with this law in many times and places. As a result, Jews in the MiddleAges attempted to fulfill this law by erecting on the roof of the synagogue a pole or rod [steeple] which would rise higher than the surrounding buildings. As long as the extension was a "built one" rather than just a simple attachment this method of compliance was acceptable (Sh. Ar., OH 150:2, see Ba'er Heitev, ad loc., and Mishnah Berurah, para. 8). Rav said (Shab. 11a) that "any city whose roofs are higher than the synagogue will be ultimately destroyed, for it is written 'to exalt the house of our God'[Ezra 9:9]" END QUOTE,

- Encyclopedia Judaica, p. 585

"SYNAGOGUES" DID NOT COME FROM THE "TORAH" UNDER "MOSES"

"SYNAGOGUES" CAME FROM "BABYLON"

2Ki_24:15  And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

Zec_6:10  Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;

"In the times to come the synagogues of Babylonia will be transferred to Israel"  (Meg. 29a) and "A man's prayer is only heard in the synagogue" (Ber. 6a).

- Encyclopedia Judaica

WHAT WERE "SYNAGOGUES" CALLED, "BEFORE" THEY WERE CALLED "SYNAGOGUES"?

2Ki_17:29  Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt.

2Ki_17:32  So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.

2Ki_23:19  And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the LORD to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.

QUOTE: "The site on which the Synagogue is to be built, according to the Tosefta (Meg. 4:23) and codified by the posekim (Sh. Ar., OH 150:2), should be the highest spot in the city and the synagogue should also be the highest building. END QUOTE - Encyclopedia Judaica

בָּמָה     bâmâh

Pronounced:  baw-maw'

From an unused root (meaning to be high); an elevation: - height, high place, wave.

"MOSES" AND "THE PROPHETS" WERE AGAINST THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

Lev_26:30  And I will destroy your (bâmâh) places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

GOD TOLD "THE PROPHETS" TO REFUSE TO "ATTEND" THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES

(WHY THERE WERE NO "PROPHETS" IN THE "SYNAGOGUES")

Jer_15:17  I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

Eze_3:24  Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

Eze_8:1  And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.

THE PROPHET "EZEKIEL" CALLED IT THE "HOUSE OF REBELLION"

Eze_2:5  And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

Eze_2:6  And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Eze_2:8  But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

Eze_3:9  As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Rebellious = מְרִי,  merı̂y,  Pronounced: mar-ee'

From H4784; bitterness, that is, (figuratively) rebellion; concretely bitter, or rebellious: - bitter, (most) rebel (-ion, -lious).

Total KJV occurrences: 23

House = בַּיִת, bayith, Prncd: “B’eth”

Probably from H1129 abbreviated; a house (in the greatest variation of applications, especially family, etc.):

THE "CIVIL WAR" IN ISRAEL

BECAUSE "THE PROPHETS" REJECTED THE "BA'MAH" HOUSES
THE "COHENIM" OF THE "BA'MAH HOUSES" REJECTED "THE PROPHETS"

Mat 23:28-35  Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophetsWherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.  Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.  Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?  Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:  That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Mat_23:31  Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

Luk_11:47  Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

1Th 2:12-15  ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

THE "PROPHET AMOS" CRITICISM OF "THE EMERGING SYNAGOGUE"

Amo 5:26  But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun* your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Chiun*  Kκwβn or Kaiwβn; it will then be identical with the Assyrian name of the planet Saturn, Ka-ai-va-nu (whence also Kκwβn and Kaiwβn, the Syriac, Persian, and Arabic names of the same planet[163]): - Cambridge Bible for Schools And Colleges

NOTE: the six-pointed star is called the talisman of Saturn and it is also referred to as the Seal of Solomon. - Wikipedia, "The History and Practice of Magic" (Secaucus, NJ: University Books, published by arrangement with Lyle Stewart, 1979), Vol. II, p. 304

The Babylonians named the days of the week after planets as part of their system of astrology. The Romans and the Greeks borrowed heavily from this system as part of their astrology. It was not until Constantine the Great that the Roman Empire adopted the 7-day week for timekeeping purposes, and, when it did, the astrological names were retained.

seventh day of the week, Old English sæterdæg, sæternesdæg, literally "day of the planet Saturn," from Sæternes (genitive of Sætern; see Saturn) + Old English dæg (see day). Partial loan-translation of Latin Saturni dies "Saturn's day" (compare Dutch Zaterdag, Old Frisian Saterdi, Middle Low German Satersdach; Irish dia Sathuirn, Welsh dydd Sadwrn). The Latin word itself is a loan-translation of Greek kronou hemera, literally "the day of Cronus."

"STEPHEN" REMINDED THE "SYNAGOGUE LEADERS" OF THIS HISTORY

Act 6:9  Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

Act 7:42-43  Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

NOTE: Rephan, which is by them substituted for Chiun, is said to be the Egyptian name for Saturn (see Spencer, de Leg. Heb. p. 667), and may have been used by them as an equivalent for the other name

– Online Etymological Dictionary

NOTE: The “Etymology” of the term “Church” is not related to the Greek word “Ecclesia”.  But rather to the Greek words “kyriake oikia” meaning the “Master’s house”.  From “Late Greek” and “early Latin” centuries after Christ, it was “transposed” onto the Greek word “Ecclesia”, by English translators.

Notice how “the English” translators meant the use of this English term...

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. Masons have claimed for centuries, “they” were the real “builders” of “Solomon’s Temple” (and thus, know it’s esoteric “secrets”).  Thus, they were also "The Builders" of the "Ba'mah houses". (And were the same theological "linage" of "builders" that "crucified Christ")

WHAT DID CHRIST SAY THEY HAD IN THEIR "EYE" THAT MADE THEM "HYPOCRITES"?

WHAT DID CHRIST SAY "UNFAITHFUL STEWARDS" DO WITH GOD'S MONEY?

Mat 25:14-30  For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.  And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.  Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

IS YOUR "CHURCH" PREACHING "THE GOSPEL" ?

I had placed a ban on private associations.<> But I think it can be checked and put right. At any rate THE TEMPLES, WHICH HAD BEEN WELLNIGH ABANDONED, are beginning to be frequented again; and THE CUSTOMARY SERVICES, which had been NEGLECTED FOR A LONG TIME, are beginning to be resumed;  FODDER FOR THE SACRIFICIAL ANIMALS, too, is beginning to FIND SALE AGAIN, for hitherto it was  DIFFICULT TO FIND ANYONE TO BUY IT. From all this it is easy to judge what a multitude of people can be reclaimed, if an opportunity is granted them to renounce Christ.

- Pliny, Epistles x.96.,
